Lawyers

Ricardo Reilly Salaverry
Lawyer. Born in Montevideo, Uruguay in I947. He studied in La Universidad de la República and received his degree in 1975. Consultant and member of the Legal Board at the Ministry of Work and Social Security (1972-1990). He was successively, General Director, Sub - Minister and Minister of Work and Social Security (1990-1995). During this period, was member of the Administration Board, member of the Free Trade Union Committee and President of the Uruguayan tripartite delegation at the Work International Conference of the International Work Organization with headquarters in Ginebra, Switzerland, celebrated in June 1994. Studied the labour relations system of the United States of America in Washington and at the International University of Miami, invited by the Labour Secretariat of that country (1990) . Studied the Japanese labour system in Tokyo and other Japanese cities, invited by the Japanese Work Agency (1992) . Studied franchising at the headquarters of the north American firm Francorp in Chicago, Illinois (1995) . Professor of Work and Social Security Law at the Universidad Católica Dámaso Antonio Larrañaga(1992-1998). Professor Grade 5 of Work and Social Security Law at the Law School at the Universitario de Punta del Este, Maldonado. Since 1986, member of the politics editorial staff and columnist of the most important newspaper “El País”. Languages: Spanish, English and Portuguese.


Alfonso Vargas Cuadrado
Lawyer. Born in Montevideo, Uruguay in 1973. He studied at the Universidad Católica and received his degree in 1996. Master`s degree in Business Law at the Universidad de Montevideo (2001-2002). Member at Law Firm Muxi & Asocciates (1994-1998). Member at Law Firm Olivera & Peirano (Currently Olivera & Delpiazzo) (1998-1999). Legal Advisor at the Ministry of Work and Social Security (2000-2003). Member of the Arbitral Tribunal of The Uruguayan Soccer Association (2005). Santiago Cachón Garicoits
Lawyer. Born in Montevideo, Uruguay in 1974. He studied at the Universidad Católica and received his degree in 1996. Specialist in Social Dialogue and Collective Autonomy at the University of Castilla, La Mancha, Spain (2002). Legal Advisor at the Ministry of Work and Social Security (1997-2000). Legal Adviser at the Minister of Interior. Member of the Arbitral Tribunal of The Uruguayan Soccer Association (2005). It has jurisdiction to arbitrate about labor demands, of proffesional players and coaches, against proffesional Clubs of First and Second division. María Dolores Garicoits Bonifacio
Lawyer. Born in Montevideo, Uruguay in 1947. She studied at La Universidad de la República and received her degree as Doctor of Law and Social Sciences in 1977. Postgraduate course on Dissolution and Liquidation of Marital Societies at the Universidad Católica del Uruguay. Former Professor at the Legal Information Service at La Universidad de la República. Verónica Ruiz Abou Nigm
Lawyer. Born in Flores, Uruguay in 1973. She studied at the Universidad Católica and received her degree in 1996. Professor of the International Civil Law at the Universidad Católica del Uruguay. Master’s Degree on Maritime Law by the University of Edinburgh, United Kingdom. Currently studying in the University of Edinburg to obtain PhD. Languages: Spanish, Portuguese and English.
